Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in another state that participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact.

ACLS Certification.

Professional expertise and analytical ability to evaluate patient’s condition, plan and carry out professional nursing care.

Ability to monitor patient status.
Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patient and to work as part of a team.

Physical ability for considerable standing with lead apron, and walking during procedures and for carrying supplies and equipment.

Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.


Three to five years registered nursing experience preferably in Intensive Care or Cath Lab setting.

Become part of a dynamic interprofessional team caring for acute and chronic cardiac patients. Responsibilities for circulating in cases involving percutaneous coronary, structural heart, and peripheral procedures, and in the holding unit to care for patients pre and post procedure.

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager (or designee) implements, supervises and evaluates the nursing care of each patient using the nursing process and in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. From admission to discharge, plans with consideration of the aging process throughout the life span, including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns.
