Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in another state that participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact

Master’s degree in business administration or related field preferred

Additional coursework in business, healthcare administration, or management/leadership required if no Master’s Degree


Minimum of 5-10 years of nursing and administrative departmental experience required with demonstrated leadership.

Knowledge of and compliance with RIDOH, Joint Commission, HIPPA, ACGME and other regulatory bodies and standards

Computer skills including Microsoft Office

Ability to access medical history of a patient, as well as patient concerns, and to determine any


Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.

Knowledge of locations of emergency equipment and procedures.

Knowledge of universal precautions.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Based on examination findings, the ability to recognize, identify, interpret and document normal and abnormal anatomic structures, physiology and pathology.

Ability to question effectively to obtain pertinent medical information.

Ability to provide compassionate care. Providing/directing nursing care throughout the life span with consideration of the aging process, developmental and cultural patterns in each step of the nursing process.

Reporting to Director of the Comprehensive Spine Center the Program Manager has the responsibility and accountability for directing and coordinating resources for the delivery of care to patients and their families. Responsible for clinic policies and procedures, program development, business and fiscal maintenance and development, as well as revenue generation for the center. Ensures compliance with requirements and standards of pertinent accrediting and credentialing bodies. Supervises staff. Direct patient care will also be expected of the Program Manager including but not limited to screening, education, prepping patients for their treatment, through recovery. The individual will manage medical education plans from strategic concept development through implementation and execution.
