Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. Advanced study in pharmacy or healthcare-related field, preferably a Master’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and pharmacy residency, or comparable work experience.
Licensed pharmacist in the State of Rhode Island within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.

Knowledge of pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technology and personal computers including word processing, database and spreadsheet design.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and sensitivity to cultural diversity in each step of the care process.
Minimum of five years’ progressively more responsible related experience, preferably gained in a similarly diverse operationally complex healthcare environment.

The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist reports to the Manager Pharmacy Operations. Responsible for the coordination of pharmacy clinical programs including, but not limited to pharmacoeconomics, pharmacotherapeutics, pharmaceutical care and drug information services.
