Location: Pawtucket, RI
Master’s Degree in social work or a related mental health field according to CIS certification standards and other credentialing guidelines with commercial insurers.
Must be a qualified Medicaid practitioner as per DCYF regulation.
Experience working with children who have autism spectrum disorders or and relevant experience providing mental health treatment to this population.
Knowledge of child and adolescent neuro-typical development and ASD variations, and of family systems issues.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with clients, family members, supervisor, other agency staff, community professionals and other members of the community.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from professionals, managers, family and the general public.
Ability to successfully complete all required training and certifications
Oral and written communication skills, including speech, grammar, spelling, and legibility are at sufficient level to ensure effective and appropriate communication.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals either manually or by use of a calculator.
Provide clinical and crisis intervention services to children and youth who have behavioral health disorders and their families. Treatment is provided in the clients’ homes and community, along with care coordination with schools, physicians, and other providers. This position involves working with children ages 3-18 who have general behavioral health, trauma, autism, co-occurring pediatric illnesses, and/or substance use disorders. Applicants must have a masters in social work, counseling, or related field that is on a licensing track.
