Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, Hospital, or Health Care Administration.

Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and sensitivity to cultural diversity in each step of the care process.

Seven to ten years progressively responsible hospital management experience, preferably in an academic medical center.


The Director Ambulatory Cancer Services – TMH reports to the Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services/CNO-TMH and the Administrative Director of the Rhode Island Hospital (RIH) Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC). Provides comprehensive direction, translates and supports the goals and objectives, policies and procedures, and ensures high standards of cancer care for ambulatory cancer patients at The Miriam Hospital. Develops and implements budgets and quality improvement plans for the CCC. Collaborates and supervises the inpatient nursing leadership in developing requirements and implementing standards of Cancer Care.
