A Bachelor’s Degree, and a Master of Science Degree in Business, Statistics or Healthcare Administration, Social Services or related field is required. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required within 18 months of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS-EXPERIENCE:

At least five years related experience at the director level, preferably in service line operations within a similarly complex healthcare organization. Experience should demonstrate ability to develop and implement strategies to improve patient and referring provider access through the use of robust process improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc. Knowledge of EHR workflow investigation and alignment, methods for addressing capacity and patient access/patient flow. Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership positions within a large complex organization. Competency with various process improvement and service excellence methodologies.


Under general direction of the Administrative Director, Operational Excellence (OpX), performs various duties in leading and managing all aspects of improving patient and provider access across Lifespan and its affiliates. Directs members of the Operational Excellence (OpX) access improvement team in the management, analysis and use of patient experience, referring provider experience, Vizient member data and best practices, and other data sources to identify and refine specific opportunities for improvement. Collaborates with the Operational Excellence (OpX) division to lead and facilitate improvement in patient and referring provider experience across all Lifespan affiliated services. Leads and participates in key committees and works collaboratively across complex reporting relationships with service line, department and site-specific leaders, physicians and staff across Lifespan to drive mutually agreed-upon goals. Provides leadership to coordinate, facilitate, develop and promote various complex leader, physician, staff and organizational initiatives designed to align patient and referring provider access improvement strategies across the Lifespan system.
