Work requires, in addition to the skills normally obtained through completion of a high school education, up to one year of specialized training including course work in correspondence typing and general business procedures, or the equivalent.

The ability to exercise considerable independent judgment in the performance of most daily duties.

Analytical ability to locate, research and interpret data.

Organizational skills to gather, assemble and maintains data from a variety of sources.

Proficient typing skills to prepare a variety of materials such as correspondence, forms, and manuals.

Good overall communication skills and knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling to complies and edit written materials.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of Hospital personnel and persons outside the Hospital.


One to two years related experience, with on the job training and experience to become familiar with the department/division’s policies and procedures.

Under general supervision, but according to established polices and procedures, provides clerical and administrative support functions to the Training Program Director, Division of Child and Family Psychiatry and the related multiple post-graduate training programs at multiple sites. Utilizes a thorough knowledge of the department/division, Hospital and specific programs to support the academic activities including research, teaching, residency and fellowship programs. Coordinates trainee recruiting efforts, program schedules and activities, gathers and interprets material, prepares reports and establishes and maintains required filing and record systems. Performs a combination of the following duties.
