Bachelors Degree in a health related field required.
Minimum of three years relevant experience in multi-entity-credentialing environment. Successful experience demonstrating the use of interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and gather information from all levels of personnel (e.g. physicians, administrative personnel and administrative leaders), and the ability to handle highly confidential data in secure and trustworthy manner.
Analytical and organizational skills to effectively develop and maintain centralized privileging systems and physician databases.
Computer proficiency in common office software applications including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Current knowledge of TJC requirements, CMS credentialing requirements, state regulations and credentialing processes. Required continuing education in federal and regulatory education related to credentialing.
Reports to the Medical Staff Services Information Systems Manager. Ensures consistency and compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, CMS privilege requirements, the hospitals’ Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. Identifies system and individual issues; participates in problem solving and final resolutions.
