Job Title: Per Diem Supervisor of Pharmacy

•Bachelor of Science in pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Advanced study in pharmacy or health-care related field, preferably to a Masters or Doctor of Pharmacy degree or comparable work experience.
•Maintains current unrestricted licensure as a licensed pharmacist in the State of Rhode Island.
•Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
•Minimum of five years progressively more responsible related experience, preferably gained in a similarly diverse and operationally complex health care environment.
•Knowledge of computerized pharmacy systems and personal computers including word processing, database and spreadsheet design.
•Effective verbal and writing skills.
Reports to the Manager, Pharmacy Operations. Responsible for coordinating and supervising operations, workflow and services at the RIH site. Develops and maintains an effective work group consisting of direct report professional and supportive personnel to ensure that the Pharmacy’s medication preparation and dispensing operations throughout the RIH site are provided in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules and regulations. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities, with consideration of the aging process and human development stages (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric), to ensure that the customers' expectations are met or exceeded. Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and budgets for Pharmacy Services.
