We are looking for a motivated fellow/scientist/MD to join the hematology/oncology training program within Brown University. The objective of this program is to develop independent investigators in the molecular basis and pathobiology of hematologic diseases and/or the outcomes of prevention and treatment of these diseases. This will be accomplished by a rigorous program of didactic training, mentored research experience in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting, and career development training. Through this program, you will receive training in academic medicine and hematology related research. There are 28 mentors in the T32 trainee program with research areas ranging from basic stem cell biology, the basics of extracellular vesicles (exosomes & and microvesicles), basic studies on aging, acute leukemia and myelofibrosis and studies on cell fate modulation and tissue repair. There is also work on the role of endothelial progenitors in pulmonary hypertension and different fibrotic disorders.
