Pediatric Experience, Ambulatory Experience, CPR certification and RI licensure. Experience working in an Asthma/Allergy/Pulmonary program is preferred. Ability to multitask and support EMR. Able to critical think and work independently with a multitude of providers and coworkers supporting the suite programs and providers(Pulmonary, VIP, CF, Asthma/Allergy, Immunology, Lupus and Rheumatology). Be able to obtain all necessary documents to support patient care and treatment plans and support satellite locations via phone messaging and EMR. Must be diligent with learning procedures such as PFT, skin testing and challenges. Must have strong communication skills and be flexible with the changing needs of the organization

Under the general supervision of the Clinic Administrator or Physician, and according to established procedures, provides care to patients and families. Responsible and accountable for the care provided regardless of whether it is provided solely by said nurse or if by the nurse and others under his/her supervision. Implements and coordinates the steps of the nursing process, involves the patient in decision making relative to care and is responsible for making nursing care judgements and acting upon them. Collaborates with Physicians in the management of prescribed medical plan of care. Involves implementation of the physician prescribed regimen, evaluations of patient response to the regimen and communication to the Physician of changes in the patient’s status. Functions under protocol which extend responsibilities for medical management activities. Coordinates the patient plan of care with nurses, Physicians and other member s of the Health Team and agencies within the community, to provide an integrated and comprehensive approach to care delivery. Responsible for participating in educational, quality assurance and research activities. Additionally, the Registered Nurse acts as a consultant, sharing his/her clinical expertise and knowledge with other health care providers and members of the community. Performs clinical management functions specifically delegated by the Clinical Manager. The nurse participates in organizational planning and decision making which affects patient care and Ambulatory Service operations. The Registered Nurse also participates in related nursing, medical and hospital committee activities. Practices within the framework of the philosophy, objectives, policies procedures and standards of the Hospital and his/her specific Ambulatory Service.
