Behavioral Health Specialist – Interview Day

Responsibilities:
o Participating in the development and operation of the milieu care plan for assigned patients
o Supervising assigned children in daily routines and assisting with activities of daily living
o Demonstrating appropriate critical incident follow-up skills and completing medical record documentation
o Participating in diagnostic conferences, treatment team and rounds and documenting significant patient/family observations
o Identifies, reports, and actively resolves potential/actual problems on the unit
o Coordinating and supervising children’s activities such as physical and social development activities
o Intervenes in disruptive milieu or destructive to self/other patient situations providing timely therapeutic intervention(s)
o Performs other related duties as required, assigned or directed by program managers
Requirements:
• BS degree in a Human Service field preferred, other education and experience will be considered
• Six months to one year of direct childcare work with emotionally impaired youth
