Mgr Recruiting


Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition the Manager of Recruiting will be responsible for owning and managing the ongoing recruitment and selection of qualified talent for open positions witihin the nursing discipline. The Manager drives the recruiting strategy for the nurse population at Lifespan and manages a team of recruiters to ensure they are meeting the needs of the healthcare system.  The Manager will build relationships with Lifespan�s leaders educational institutions/programs (e.g. with various universities colleges and training programs) and other stakeholders.

  • Creates and continually assesses the effectiveness of recruiting strategies for industry-related professional positions.
  • Drives the recruiting strategy for the nurse population.
  • Manages a team of recruiters and holds them accountable to successful performance measures such as but not limited to customer satisfaction scores time to hire and third party agency avoidance. 
  • Coaches trains and motivates Recruiters to maximize their potential and success in their roles. 
  • Manages and owns the end-to-end process of selection and placement of qualified candidates.
  • Manages a limited number of high level critical open positions while having the bandwidth to drive and execute on the recruiting strategy.
  • Participates in workforce planning conversations with hiring managers and other stakeholders.
  • Advises hiring managers on recruiting strategies clarifying job requirements (requisition) interview skills hiring trends and recruiting tools.
  • Presents data and recruiting results to key members of Lidfespan�s leadership team.
  • Partners with hiring managers to make hiring recommendations that support business goals.
  • Partners with Compensation to prepare pay component of job offers.
  • Coordinates and attends college or training program sessions to educate and engage students/graduates in Lifespan opportunities and cultivate talent pipeline at key schools.


Bachelor�s degree required.  Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical credential highly desired. 


� Five plus years recruitment and/or staffing experience in a professional environment.
� Healthcare industry experience required and previous RN or other clinical experience strongly preferred
� Proven track record of success leading a small team within the nurse recruitment field
� Ability to accurately interpret and apply policies procedures and laws related to employment activities.
� Strong verbal written and interpersonal skills essential. 
� Interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively in sensitive and confidential issues by telephone in writing and in face-to-face contacts with the public and with associates at all levels of the Company



No significant physical effort required.


Normal office environment as well as some exposure to typical hospital environmental hazards and concerns.
