Post Doctoral NIH Rsch Fellow


The postdoctoral fellow will receive advanced training in obesity clinical research through participation in ongoing research activities at the Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center. This will include providing clinical intervention in the context of ongoing weight management trials data collection and management preparation of scholarly publications and grantsmanship. The fellow will attend and participate in weekly study-specific and faculty meetings as well as attend the educational opportunities such as the Obesity Journal club. The primary purpose of this position is to enable postdoctoral fellows to gain a thorough understanding of the relationship between behavior and physical health/illness broadly the role of behavior change in chronic disease prevention and the biopsychosocial model of illness and the application of this knowledge to clinical practice and research.
