Project Mgr

Summary:
Under general supervision of the Director of Marketing Communications responsible for resource allocation coordination implementation execution and completion of all marketing and communications projects ensuring adherence to Lifespan�s brand standards institutional strategies business objectives and marketing and communications goals.

 

Responsibilities:
Works on complex projects (or multiple projects) spanning multiple marketing and communications disciplines (including content creative web digital and social media) to support Lifespan�s marketing and communication strategies and goals.



Manage project management process and software to support the execution of projects.



Lays the foundation for digital/creative-focused projects including: development of project timeline based on the appropriate strategy ensuring that roles and responsibilities for each engagement are clearly defined and communicated facilitate onboarding of project team (understanding scope of work) and work start.



Acts as a guiding resource for Marketing Communications team members in project management on related projects.



Allocates appropriate digital content creative and other resources (internal and external) for lifecycle of project; coordinate daily allocations.



Creates and assigns tasks to appropriate team members; prioritizes and adjusts projects and tasks as necessary to meet new and/or revised marketing communications objectives and goals.



Facilitates internal reviews and edits ensuring client and department management approval of all final project outputs.



Determines dependencies from step-to-step in the overall project management process.



Manages project timeline from start to project completion.



Communicates project status and updates on a regular basis to appropriate team members.



Refines maintains and develops internal workflow processes and best practices; search for efficiencies.



Other project management duties include:

- Schedule management (developing and managing a detailed integrated schedule with project management software)

- Reporting (submitting dashboards for regular review)

- Stakeholder management (meeting regularly or as-needed with project stakeholders to ensure all are in alignment and stakeholder needs are met)

- Resource management and team meetings (identifying/requesting required people resources and managing these resources within team meetings to complete the project)



Consults and makes recommendations to senior management on project management issues.

Ability to interact with all levels including senior management and influence decision-making.



Mentors and helps support junior staff in the ongoing management and maintenance of day-to-day activities.



Participates in ongoing professional activities and affiliations to maintain current knowledge of developments in the fields of project management and marketing and communications.



Chairs organizes or participates in departmental or institutional committees and work groups.



Represents Lifespan and its institutional partners in a variety of situations including external committees and work groups.



Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Other information:
QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION:

Bachelor�s Degree in business administration marketing communications graphic design or related field required; PMP certification (preferred).



Technically proficient having broad background in problem solving tools. TQM Six Sigma certification or Project Management certification preferred.



QUALIFICATIONS-EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five years� experience with demonstrated ability in intermediate level project management preferably in health care setting or for health care clients.



Strong negotiation skills and ability to successfully interact with all levels of management.



Ability to coach and mentor.



Ability to work independently and as a team member.



Demonstrated organizational communications project coordination marketing and/or public affairs skills required. Excellent communication and presentation skills.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Supervises up to 5 FTEs.
