Research Assistant


Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator the Research Assistant (RA) will conduct specific assigned research activities associated with research projects. 

The RA will contribute to research investigating individual- and population-level factors that influence HIV and sexually transmitted disease (STD) transmission. The RA will also work to support clinical and community-based activities in concordance with statewide efforts to reduce HIV incidence including prevention detection and retention in care.

Bachelor�s degree required; major in public health biology psychology sociology or related field strongly preferred.

Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate PC software i.e. proficiency in typing/word processing utilizing spreadsheets for data management and data entry; familiarity with building and managing REDCap databases an asset.

Excellent ability to gather and synthesize complex information as well as strong writing skills.

Strong personal initiative including demonstrated ability to work independently and motivation to learn.

Scientific or empirical knowledge of HIV and STDs including HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
