Requires an in-depth knowledge of the scientific field in which research is being performed.

Requires supervisory and administrative skills to direct a small group of research assistants.

Requires the interpersonal skills to interface both externally and internally to the Hospital.


EXPERIENCE:

Requires one year experience in research.

Internal Description Search

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Laboratory invites applications for a senior postdoctoral position in cardiac and vascular cellular electrophysiology. The preferred start date is Sept 1 2017.  A fully equipped patch clamp laboratory will be provided in a state of the art laboratory with access to modern core facilities. Applicants will be expected to participate in research program in basic cardiovascular electrophysiology ion channels trafficking and calcium dynamics. Candidates with experience in cellular electrophysiology of endothelial cells smooth muscle cells and cardiac myoytes will have a priority.
