Sr Psychology Assistant

Individual will perform a variety of duties pertaining to the efficacious behavioral interventions with an inpatient psychiatric population. 



Having a working knowledge of behavioral
principles and procedures derived from these principles in order to effectively
address maladaptive behaviors.

Observing patient behaviors to determine
best course of action in terms of labeling behaviors behavioral
antecedents and consequences of behavior; measuring behaviors; determining best method of data collection; and determining efficacious
behavioral treatments for presenting maladaptive behaviors.

functional behavioral assessments and writing behavioral treatment programs for

Educating direct-care staff in carrying out data collection
protocols and behavioral treatment programs.

Having a working knowledge
base in Excel spread sheets and developing and maintaining data base for
behavioral data collected on each patient.

Maintaining good
communication skills working well with others as part of a multidisciplinary
treatment team and collaborating and problem-solving with the focus on
behavioral programming.


Other information:

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:  Baccalaureate
degree in Psychology or related field. 
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients
throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes human
development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.


experience with children preferred. 
Familiarity with statistics and computer data entry preferred.
