Project Manager - Workday HCM - Temp

SUMMARY:The Project Manager is a two-year temporary position reporting to the Director of HR Technology and is responsible for contributing to the success of the Workday ERP implementation for the Human Capital Management (HCM) domain. The Project Manager collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to drive project objectives and achieve deadlines within the project governance model. Additionally the Project Manager will support change management and communication efforts supported by impact and stakeholder analysis.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor�s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience with Workday ERP or other HCM or ERP system implementation required.

Lean Six Sigma or another process improvement training or certification preferred.

Project management certification preferred.

HR experience preferred.

Three to five years of experience in project management with experience coordinating cross-functional business units and/or multidisciplinary project teams.

Have demonstrated skills of project management tools concepts and methodologies; Lean/Six Sigma experience or certification a plus.

Experience in healthcare delivery environment desirable.

Demonstrated experience of change management practices and tools including stakeholder and impact analysis and proven experience tailoring communication and training approach by audience.

Possess a functional understanding of Human Resources or specific discipline within HR.

Display understanding of workflow process excellence and change control as well as ability to accurately document existing processes decisions and future state processes and workflows.

Possess strong leadership skills; effective interpersonal skills to influence and guide solutions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In partnership with domain leads and the Workday project management office (PMO) collaborates on project plan building and ensuring tasks are completed on time to achieve key milestones and measure of success.

Guides the team through the execution of the project and monitors progress against the plan initiating corrective action as necessary; identifies project barriers/constraints/risks and provides recommendations to mitigate.

Facilitates improvement efforts and develops implementation recommendations; ensures alignment with project objectives and identifies opportunities to increase process efficiencies cost-effectiveness quality and service.

Documents proposed and final changes made to existing HR policiesas a result ofthe implementation of Workday; understands and executes stakeholder analysis to identify upstream and downstream impact to the organization and communicates that with appropriate stakeholders including subject matter experts (SMEs) and Doman Leads.

Facilitates collaboration within diverse groups to provide input to strategic planning and execution; supports change management throughout the implementation; leads the team in a mindset shift toward simplified standard processes.

Designs articulates and executes effective communication plans that promote end-user adoption and program usage; responsible for outreach efforts to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization adapting messaging by audience.

May partner with project team to collect and analyze data to determine baseline and progress metrics.

Manages stress appropriately prioritizes work schedule and collaborates with others.

Performs other duties as assigned.
