Requires the ability to read, write and speak English and to perform simple arithmetic calculations.
Knowledge of basic cooking and food preparation procedures in order to prep and cook fast service menu items.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
Three to four weeks of on the job related experience is required.
Under the general supervision, but according to established polices, procedures and recipes prepares fast food items (hot dogs, hamburgers, etc,) for patients and the cafeteria. Obtains and prepares foodstuff as necessary and is responsible for maintaining grills, steam tables and the work area in an orderly condition.
