Seeking motivated individual with information systems management expertise to help manage novel brain imaging database, working as part of multi-disciplinary team (including both physicians and computer scientists) to answer major questions about neurological, neurosurgical, and psychiatric illness.Ideal candidate has at least associate’s degree in information technology or related degree and two years experience. Must have skills in unix or python programing, writing SQL queries, and database management. Experience working with imaging data including DICOM format files a substantial plus. Must be able to function and communicate effectively as a member of a project team, and the interpersonal skills to elicit and convey details of business and clinical operations and workflow processes to assure the optimal adoption and utilization of the electronic health record system. Project management, analysis, processing skills preferred. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, a must.The Database Specialist reports to the Director of the Hospital Imaging Research & Education Service (HI-RES;www.HI-RES.npniri.org) and Pediatric Mood, Imaging, & NeuroDevelopment (PediMIND;www.pedimind.org) Program. Under general supervision and within Bradley policies and procedures, is responsible for the daily operation and management of the database systems (Service Management, Asset Management, Desktop Server Management), long-term storage archive system, and all hardware and software associated with the system. Assists in system selection, configuration, conversion, implementation, security and on-going utilization of the application. Provides user training and monitors system changes
