Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
ACLS & BLS certified.
Demonstrated mature judgment, initiative, and proficiency in nursing skills.
Is able to work without direct supervision.
Is knowledgeable in physical assessment, aseptic techniques, IV skills and universal precautions.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
One year RN experience in an acute hospital setting, plus an additional one year of ICU-level critical care or two years ER nursing experience (at least one year trauma room).
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, Lead Nurse of Interventional Radiology, the Medical Director of IR, CT and US, and with the support of the Nursing Directors of Adult Patient services, provides comprehensive nursing care to patients having procedures in Diagnostic Imaging, in accordance with the hospital and department established policies and procedures, and the physician’s orders. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the patient.
